Robotics Engineer – ALTEN Nederland

Your Role:
You will be involved in cutting-edge projects where you will design, develop, and integrate robotic solutions using the Robot Operating System (ROS). You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers, contributing your expertise to real-world applications.
Your main missions will be the following:
Camera Integration on Robotic Arms
• Designing and implementing secure camera mounts on large robotic arms.
• Ensuring optimal field of view and vibration resistance.
• Collaborating with mechanical teams to maintain full arm mobility.
Defect Detection Systems Development
• Building image processing and sensor fusion solutions for fault detection.
• Developing software and algorithms to control robots movement and their behaviour.
• Developing and refining real-time computer vision algorithms.
• Improving detection accuracy and operational efficiency.
Robot Manufacturing and Assembly
• Assembling and integrating robotic systems with high precision.
• Ensuring and building quality aligned with engineering specifications.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
Testing and Optimization
• Conducting performance tests on camera-equipped robotic arms.
• Tuning system parameters for optimal detection and operation.
• Validating system performance in real-world environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Robotics Engineer.
- Mandatory Skill: Strong hands-on experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
- C++ and Python are appreciated.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
- Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).
