The Content Vendor Manager plays akey leadershiprole in driving Kluwer Law International's (KLI) end-to-end content production as well as vendor management initiatives. This position is central to the success of KLI content strategies, ensuring they are closely aligned with productstrategy and businessobjectives. The consultant is also responsible for advancing vendor relationships and improving related processes, all while supporting divisional program alignment. 

As a Content Vendor Manager you are tasked withoptimizingboth content production processes andvendor outcomes. This role is critical to achieving efficient, effective, and strategic management of content within the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

E2E content process/production management

  • Manage E2E content delivery through vendors.

  • Process Management and Content Supply Chain Strategy:applybest practices tooptimizecontent workflows for efficiency and quality. Oversee the entire contentlifecyclefor primary and secondary content—from acquisition and maintenance to enrichment and release—ensuring all stepsmeetstandards and KPIs.

  • Co-operation with KLI product & content to translate their requirements intoprocess and solution – act as partner helping to deliver on product & content roadmaps.

  • Co-operation with WK stakeholders (sourcing, division) and ensure alignment on strategy delivery and KLI needs.

  • Vendor management

  • Manage vendors delivering serviceswithbest quality and efficiency.

  • Negotiate prices and terms for specific tasks/ projects with a vendor and ensuring that prices are aligned with theagreements.

  • Oversee andoptimizevendor relationships, ensuring compliancetoStatementsOfWork (SOW), Service Level Agreements (SLA), and rate cards.

  • Drive key content and vendor-related projectsfrom start to endand ensure alignment withbusinessgoals,customer needswithin designated budgetary parameters.

  • Optimizevendor services and spendingby benchmark vendor costs and outcomes.

  • Drive strategic shift from managed services to SaaS and AI – focus onautomation.

  • Monitor vendor and content system performance and quality metrics, using data to drive ongoing improvement.

  • Recommend and implement best practices for continuousprocess improvementin the projects implemented by vendors. 

  • Implement AI as and whenpossible,to bring value and tooptimizeprocesses and procedures (efficiency and quality).

  • Drive key content and vendor-related projects to ensure divisional programalignment.

  • Process vendor invoices promptly usingaccuratebudget codes and amounts.

  • Lead all KLI activities on print vendor management and invoicing.

  • SupportingleadershipandStrategy

  • Collaborate closely with Product and Content team members to ensure content production strategies are aligned with broader product and business goals, specifically those associated with the KLI Product roadmap andVisionAppstrategy. Offer strategic guidance across diverse projects tomaintainalignment with the product and content operationobjectives.

  • Leadingcontent operationscost reduction strategies for LRUS and KLI, transforming these strategies into well-thought-out sustainable initiatives, and effectively implementing them.

  • Serve as KLI's representative in key content operation initiativesin wider L&R division.

  • Conduct regular meetings andmaintaineffective communication with GBS’s Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team to exchange insights and strategiesregardingsourcing and vendor management. Advocate for KLI’s business requirements and drive impactful outcomes.

  • Managingvendor offshore Team: Cultivate and oversee an environment of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning, ensuring that vendor team members are aligned with organizationalobjectivesandpossessthe necessary skills to deliver high-quality results.

  • Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Master’sdegree in business, Law, or related field.

  • Experience in vendormanagement business processes.

  • Experience from legal content/data advantage.

  • In-depth conceptual and practical KnowledgeinVendor management,content,optimizingprocessesandcontentmetadata.

  • Knowledge of best practices and is aware of the competition and market differentiators.

  • Solves complex problems; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
