A leading international manufacturer in valve operation systems is seeking a Bid Manager to oversee global EPC projects. This role involves managing incoming enquiries, preparing technical and commercial project quotations, and overseeing the process from bid stage through to order handover.

Responsibilities
Independently review RFQs and prepare complex technical/commercial proposals for large-scale EPC projects.
Submit and follow up on quotations, maintaining up-to-date status in the CRM.
Liaise with customers, agents, and distributors, helping resolve technical and commercial queries.
Coordinate with internal departments to obtain accurate cost and delivery estimates for custom engineering solutions.
Collaborate with the technical team to tailor proposals and strengthen bids.
Review and prepare the technical scope for quotes, including specification evaluation and documentation.
Ensure contract and tender compliance, proactively addressing risk clauses.
Contribute to annual sales and order targets.
Occasional travel (up to 20%) within Europe and internationally to visit key clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or petroleum engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum8 years' relevant experience in bid management and proposal engineering, especially for mechanical/equipment solutions in the oil & gas, chemical, or industrial sectors.
Track record in managing international EPC contractor projects.
Required Skills
Strong commercial and technical acumen, with the ability to answer complex queries and compile thorough quotations.
Fluent in business English (written and spoken), with proficiency in technical drawing interpretation.
Advanced skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP/CRM systems (MS Dynamics beneficial).
Detail-oriented, strong team player, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
Experience in the oil & gas, chemical, or industrial sectors.
