Job Description

Being a delivery-focused engineer with a platform-oriented mindset, you will work closely with the architect and team lead to build, deploy, and run your own software all the way to production. You will be a highly productive, efficient, and reliable team member, aware of the latest developments regarding coding standards, infrastructure-as-code, automated tests, continuous integration & delivery, etc.

In this role, you will be part of the Platform Engineering and Services team, dedicated to developing the new foundation of the WK Enablon SaaS platform. You will work closely with your team and other product and service teams to achieve this. Your responsibilities will include developing and managing core services, overseeing platform infrastructure, and implementing best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deploying our products. This includes:

  • Best practice monitoring and alerting.
  • Best practice services, creating golden paths and blueprint services.
  • Building core platform services to ensure proper integration between products.
  • Supporting teams on onboarding and adopting golden paths and a continuous delivery model.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
  • Implement features according to the product owner’s specifications.
  • Make solid contributions to feature implementation, acting as a driving force.
  • Follow development processes in line with CI/CD, maximizing automation.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve incidents/bugs by developing workarounds.
  • Perform structural modifications to the product and solution code and architecture.
  • Collaborate with other software developers, QA engineers, product owners, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications.
  • Design and implement features according to defined use cases. Deliver non-functional test campaigns, report results, and indicate areas of improvement to the engineering teams.
  • Review pull requests of the team and provide recommendations to improve code quality and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, with multiple development specialties or equivalent experience; or solid professional track record in software development.
  • 3+ years of experience as a software developer.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of standard tools for Continuous Integration and dashboards in the software industry, with proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of operational processes for many customers, linking to the solution as well as architectural, testing, and implementation implications.
  • Experience with SQL Server, REST API, Solid Principles, Microservices, Docker, TDD.
  • Experience with Azure.
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform.
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum, and SAFe processes.
