Mechanical Engineer – ALTEN Netherlands – Alphen aan den Rijn
To support the development of advanced mechanical systems in industrial environments, we are currently seeking two specialized Mechanical Engineers to join our team.
About the Role
Both roles contribute to the design, validation, and optimization of mechanical components and systems used in high-performance industrial applications. You’ll work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting alongside engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to deliver robust and innovative solutions.
The positions :
- Structural Analysis Profile
- Designing mechanical components and assemblies using Solid Edge.
- Performing structural and FEM analysis to validate mechanical integrity.
- Simulating mechanical behaviour under various load conditions using Ansys.
- Collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to optimize performance and reliability.
- Electrical Design Profile
- Designing electrical systems and cable routing for mechanical assemblies.
- Creating and reviewing electrical schematics and layouts.
- Supporting integration of electrical components into mechanical structures.
- Using Ansys for simulation and validation (optional).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO or WO) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3+ years of relevant experience in either structural or electrical mechanical design.
- Familiarity with Solid Edge and Ansys.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and industrial environments.
Required Skills
- Proficient in English and/or Dutch.
- Familiarity with Solid Edge and Ansys.
