Scope of Role
As a Growth Designer you will contribute to the ongoing design optimization of our three group marketing websites and marketing campaigns. We’re looking for a creative and analytical designer who can blend high-quality design with data-driven insights to enhance user experiences and drive website performance. You will manage website design updates and analyse performance to improve user engagement and conversion rates.
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work 2-3 days from home and an office base in Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands. You will report into the Global PLG and Web Marketing Manager, working with Marketing Execs, fellow Designers, Product Marketing, and Web Developers.
As a Growth Designer, you will:
- Lead the End-to-End Design Process: Gather requirements, design the prototype, and ensure a smooth handover to our web development team, with all assets and specifications prepared. Implement the web page content, and test the design’s effectiveness to drive further iterations based on performance insights.
- Website/UX Design: Design, develop, and maintain web pages that are visually compelling, user-friendly, and aligned with brand standards. Create intuitive, responsive designs for desktop and mobile that enhance the user journey.
- Enhance Website Engagement: Evolve our marketing websites by optimizing navigation, (interactive) elements, and web components to enhance attractiveness and improve overall engagement.
- Data-Driven Web Journey Optimization: Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Mouseflow to monitor user behavior. Use data insights to inform design iterations and support decision-making, improving user engagement, traffic, and conversion rates.
- Demand Generation Design: Work with the demand generation teams to align website updates and design efforts with marketing campaign goals, and ensure the efficient implementation of new content and updates across all web platforms. Collaborate with demand gen teams to create layouts and templates for editorial content such as eBooks, brochures, and whitepapers, along with key marketing assets like email banners, event materials, paid digital ads, and social media graphics.
- Website Portfolio Consistency: Maintain consistency across our three marketing websites by standardizing design elements, ensuring uniform branding, and aligning user experience across three web platforms. Collaborate with development teams to implement these standards.
Requirements
You will have:
- 3+ years relevant (growth) design experience, B2B tech environment experience would be a benefit
- Expertise in using data-driven insights to optimize design.
- An outstanding sense of visual hierarchy, utilizing negative space, grid alignment, and proportion to create balanced, harmonious compositions.
- Empathy for users and a strong drive to understand their intent, turning these insights into finely-tuned, intuitive experiences.
- Comprehensive grasp of web journey optimization and able to observe user behaviour to inform iterative improvements of marketing funnel performance.
- Solid skills in explaining design rationale, process and decisions to stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work.
